With an Inclusion Infusion grant from VCUarts, John Henry Blatter and Jill Ware brought BeAnotherLab, a multidisciplinary, international virtual reality research team, to the VCUarts Depot for a week long residency in the spring of 2017.
After working together with team members Marte Roel and Ary Ehrenberg, Blatter and Ware discovered many points of interest and intersection with BeAnotherLab’s work and their own. In the fall of 2017, Blatter and Ware won two grants, the VCUarts Exploratory Research Grant, and the VCUarts Faculty Inclusion Grant to become essential research partners with BeAnotherLab, and began their own explorations within two VR projects, The Machine To Be Another, and The Library of Ourselves.
